1987年推出的《Solitude Outstanding》是Suzanne的转折点，这张专辑不仅获得了商业上的成功，更为她指明了音乐发展的新方向。喜欢这首没有任何伴奏的《Tom’s Dinner》，羡慕歌中庸懒的生活场景，像极了冬日的上午起来，半睁着睡眼喝下的第一杯咖啡，看着窗外雾茫茫的雨景，让大脑比睡着时更加放松。卡尔维诺在他的《未来千年文学备忘录》里谈到了“轻逸”（LIGHTNESS）一词。他说，生活的沉重主要存在于威迫，把我们裹得越来越紧的公共和私人事务的小孔眼大网般的威迫。而艺术则能带人回归“轻逸”，做一个身轻如燕的平凡人。1996年，已成为母亲的Suzanne完成了清凉的绿色专辑《Nine Object of Desire》，也是我个人最喜欢的专辑，其中融合了清新民谣，Jazz, Bassa Nova，无论在造型抑或曲风上都展现出成熟性感的韵味，但“轻逸”则一如往昔。
